But Apple has made smaller laptops before, and they should again. Apple has never made such a big-screen non-Pro MacBook, but they should. Most MacBooks will either charge at 16V or 19V, we recommend testing at the lower Voltage first and bumping up to 19V if the MacBook does not start charging. There should be a 15-inch MacBook Air that costs 400 or 500 more than the correspondingly-specced 13-inch Air. Best for: MacBook Air 13-inch MacBook Pro 8-core 14-inch MacBook Pro It might be bigger and heavier than the 45W or 65W single-port Anker chargers, but this GaN charger offers you much more with. To determine your Voltage, locate the Output Voltage listed on your MacBook’s certified wall charger (Bottom Left Image). To charge, first select the Voltage that best fits your laptop’s power requirements. This modified MagSafe cable is specially designed to fit onto our V88’s Laptop Output Cable so that you can safely charge your device from DC power. Non-USB-C MacBooks: For older MacBooks that don’t support USB-C charging, you’ll need one of our optional MagSafe adapters. For 12-inch MacBook or 13-inch MacBook Pro users, I think Aukey’s 60W USB-C charger & dual port USB is a great alternative to Apple’s charger, whether that’s as a replacement or as a backup. Once connected, simply press the V88’s Power Button to begin charging. They’re both compatible with each other and it won’t damage anything using either one on either laptop. At only 999, the MacBook Air with its 13.3-display (1440x900), 1.8. Either can be used for either, but the 2017 13 inch MacBook airs shipped with a 45W MagSafe 2 charger, so I would put that one with the 13 inch, and the 65W with the 11inch. Having that this charger can achieve 65W, this should be more. Still, the Air is the most affordable path into Apple’s universe. The MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020) requires a 61W power adapter to charge at the correct speed. USB-C MacBooks: If you have a newer MacBook that charges from USB Type C, you can connect directly from our V88 USB-C PD laptop battery using the USB-C to USB-C charging cable that came with your computer. Most probably, this is due to their recent product strategy. ![]()
